Etosha National Park (22270km2) is a national park in northwestern Namibia. It was proclaimed a game reserve in 1907 by the Governor of German South West Africa. It gets its name from the Etosha pan (4760km2), a large salt pan forming part of the Kalahari Basin. Etosha means ‘Great White Place’. The park offers great game viewing and is home to hundreds of species of mammals, birds and reptiles including several threatened and endangered species. Read more >
